Our Impact
At A Beautiful You, we believe that what is spiritual should also be measurable. We don’t track “clean time” or “compliance.” Instead, we measure what actually leads to long-term stability: emotional regulation, social connection, and the desire to show up for oneself.
The Proof of the Model
In 2025, through our partnership with L.A. Care and Blue Shield Promise, we piloted our creative wellness interventions — Soundtrack to Self and Paint with Pride. The results confirmed that when you remove institutional barriers, healing happens faster and more sustainably.
1. Immediate Emotional Regulation
Participants consistently experienced an emotional lift after just one 45-minute session.
+0.71 Average Mood Increase: Participants consistently experienced a lift in emotional regulation after just one 45-minute session, with peak sessions reaching a +1.28 increase.
The Result: Our tools provide instant relief from the chronic stress of housing instability and substance use.
2. Radical Retention
In traditional systems, “no-show” rates are high. In our community, the opposite is true.
94% Return Rate: Almost every participant expressed a clear intent to return.
The Feedback: The most common request isn’t for more rules—it’s for “more time.”
3. Cultivating Belonging
Isolation is the primary driver of relapse and despair. Our data shows that our “Wholeness Over Compliance” model bridges that gap.
Better Outcomes, Lower Costs
At approximately $700 per participant, our Displays of Dignity model offers a cost-effective alternative to high-cost clinical interventions, which often struggle to maintain engagement with unhoused populations.
We don’t mandate compliance. We create conditions for increased capacity, connection, and measurable human change.
